Opening of Libraccio bookshop at IULM and dedication ceremony of Silvio F. Baridon Garden
17 June will be a day full of events at the University. Inauguration of the new bookshop Libraccio and ceremony for the dedication of the Silvio F. Baridon Garden
On Thursday 17 June, at 11.30 a.m., the new bookshop Libraccio will be inaugurated in the hall of IULM 1: the bookshop is 80 square metres wide; in this place students and citizens will be able to find a wide range of new and used books and university textbooks. Founded in 1979, Libraccio is one of the largest chains of independent bookshops in Italy with 54 outlets in 7 regions.
At 12.00 , in via Carlo Bo 11, the ceremony of dedication of the Silvio F. Baridon Garden will take place in the presence of the Councillor for Education Laura Galimberti. This 10,000-square-metre park is once again crowded with families, workers and students after being returned to the city thanks to the redevelopment and enhancement work carried out in 2019. A green area has been enriched with a fitness area - equipped with outdoor fitness machines - a play area with several carousels that are also accessible to children with disabilities, a dog area and a new meeting space with benches and tables under a pergola that can be used in all seasons. In the centre of the park there is also a large synthetic grass five-a-side football pitch.
