SoilTribes Crash Course: Registration Opens for Individuals Under 35 in Communication and Soil Sciences
A European project coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano is selecting 10 Italian couples to participate in an online course on science communication focused on soil-related topics
Registration is now open for the SoilTribes Crash Course, an initiative promoted by the Politecnico di Milano as part of the European project “SoilTribes – Glocal ecosystems restoring soil values, roles, and connectivity,” funded by Horizon Europe (Soil Mission).
The initiative involves seven European countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Denmark, Romania, and Poland) and offers a 40-hour online course, to be completed independently in pairs, aimed at young people under 35. Ten pairs will be selected from each country: 10 young experts in soil science and 10 young professionals from the fields of communication and media.
The pairs will work together to produce multimedia content in English (a short video and a social media postcard) focused on the challenges of soil regeneration, experimenting with new media formats—social networks, YouTube, and TikTok.
The materials produced will be evaluated by a committee, which will award the winning pair from each country a reimbursement of up to 2,500 euros to cover expenses for participating in European festivals and events dedicated to soil between February and May 2027.
Applications must be submitted by October 20, 2026, by filling out the form available at the following link.
