Agreement Signed Between IULM and Shih Chien University: A New Opportunity for International Collaboration
IULM University strengthens its network of international partnerships with the signing of a collaboration agreement with Shih Chien University in Taiwan. The official ceremony took place on November 29 at 10:00 AM via video link.
Representing the two institutions were IULM University Rector, Prof. Valentina Garavaglia, and Shih Chien University President, Dr. Pin-Shou Ting, who formalized the agreement. Joining the event in person in Milan was Consul Riccardo Lin, Director General of the Taipei Representative Office in Italy (Milan Office), while Mr. Vincent Kao, Director of the Office of International Affairs at Shih Chien University, participated remotely from Taipei.
The agreement aims to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Italy and Taiwan through joint initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative seminars and workshops, and research projects on innovative topics.
This is the second agreement signed with a Taipei university in November, following the one with Fu Jen University, which consolidated the relationship between the two institutions by offering new opportunities for international expansion. Through these collaborations, Italian and Taiwanese students will be able to enjoy study abroad experiences, spending one or two semesters at the partner university and enriching their education with different cultural and academic perspectives
This new partnership is in line with IULM’s internationalization strategy, which seeks to provide its students with increasingly competitive global learning opportunities. "Internationalization is a priority in our academic mission," stated Rector Garavaglia, emphasizing that this agreement represents a new platform for intercultural and academic dialogue.
With more than 230 active international agreements, IULM University confirms itself as a hub of excellence, at the center of a global network of academic and cultural collaborations, aimed at international and cutting-edge education
