
Michael Moses Visiting Professor at IULM

In May IULM hosts as Visiting Professor Michael Moses, Professor of Literature and the Humanities at Chapman University in Orange, California. Professor Moses, who has taught at Duke University and earned his doctorate at the University of Virginia, has worked on, among other things, cinema and modernism, the novel in globalization, and J.M. Coetzee. For the past several years he has been working on the Western genre (literature, film, TV series).
At our university, Professor Moses is lecturing for the Ph.D. in Visual and Media Studies ("From HAL to Her": on artificial intelligence in contemporary cinema), for the course in Audiovisual Translation of the Bachelor of Arts in Specialist Translation and Conference Interpreting (on the film Wall-E), for the course in Philosophy of Globalization of the Bachelor of Arts in Languages, Culture and Digital Communication (on Western films), and for the course in Public and Political Communication of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Media and Advertising (on dystopian cinema).
