IULM University Honors Enzo Bianchi
One of the leading voices of Fondamenta and a prominent figure in contemporary spirituality and ecumenical dialogue has passed away.
IULM University expresses its condolences on the passing of Enzo Bianchi, founder of the Monastic Community of Bose.
His connection to IULM University was reflected in his participation in Fondamenta, the university’s cultural project dedicated to the works and ideas that have helped shape Western civilization.
In his lecture *The Bible: History of a People and Library of Humanity*, Bianchi proposed an interpretation of the Bible in all its diversity of books, literary genres, and cultures, emphasizing how this very pluralism precludes any fundamentalist interpretation.
IULM University honors Enzo Bianchi’s thought, his commitment to dialogue, and his ability to engage with the Scriptures as a living and shared heritage of humanity.
