IULM joins the program of events for the 800th anniversary of St. Francis: talks, films and workshops between culture and contemporaneity
2026 marks the eighth centenary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, an anniversary of great historical and symbolic value. In this national framework of celebrations, IULM University joins the official project "St. Francis 800," promoted by the Ministry of Culture, with its own cultural itinerary dedicated to the relevance of the Franciscan message
Thus was born "Creatures, Creators and Creatives. IULM for the 800th anniversary of St. Francis," a series of meetings open to citizenship that interweaves history, spirituality, arts and communication, offering a contemporary look at one of the most influential figures in European culture. The initiative proposes a reading of Francis of Assisi not only as a protagonist of religious history, but as a living source of cultural and human inspiration.
