The Immediate Museum: in IULM the presentation of Giuliano Gaia's book
How does the digital impact the museum? An event with lecturers Giuliano Gaia and Simone Arcagni will be held at IULM on February 20 to discuss the topic.
How does the digital impact the museum? What has changed since the first conference on museums and computers in 1968? How do we reconcile the slow time of museums with the immediacy of the digital? Is it better to go along with or resist the digitization of the visitor experience?
These questions are answered in Giuliano Gaia's book Il museo immediato (The Immediate Museum) the result of nearly three decades of experience in digital technologies for museums, from websites to augmented reality, from 3D printing to artificial intelligence.
On these topics the author and IULM lecturer will discuss on Thursday, February 2025 at 6 p.m. in Aula Seminari (IULM 1) with Simone Arcagni, IULM Professor of Imaginaries of the Digital Age and new media expert.
Admission is free while seats last.
