IULM students return to the Venice International Film Festival with "Finestra sul Lido"
For the third consecutive year, "Finestra sul Lido" returns: the daily live show from the Venice International Film Festival created by IULM students
From September 2 to 12, 2026, a select group of students from IULM University will take center stage in “Finestra sul Lido, ” the daily program created in collaboration with the Giornate degli Autori and dedicated to covering the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
Every day at 6:00 p.m., a new episode will air from the IULM Studios in Milan on IULM Play. Reporting live from the Lido of Venice, the students will conduct interviews, gather exclusive content, and provide behind-the-scenes insights into the Festival, while IULM faculty members in the studio will offer in-depth analysis and perspectives on the themes that emerged during the day.
Now in its third edition, Finestra sul Lido embodies IULM University's hands-on approach to education. Students are involved in every stage of the production process, from content creation and presenting to directing and editing, experiencing the Festival as a real professional environment where they can put the skills acquired during their studies into practice.
The initiative further strengthens the collaboration between IULM University and the Giornate degli Autori, turning the Venice International Film Festival into a true professional workshop where theory and practice come together through direct experience.
