Matteo Tanteri is Director Sustainability and Social Impact at Snam and CEO of Arbolia, a benefit company created by Snam and Fondazione CDP to tackle the reforestation issue in Italy. He also serves as board member for the UN Global Compact Italian network. Before the current role, he spent 4 years as Chairman and CEO of Snam China, in charge of the set[1]up of the first business branch of Snam outside Italy. In China he was also Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Advisory Council member of the European Chamber of Commerce. After a long career in consulting firm Bain & Company, he joined Snam in 2014 supporting the start[1]up of initiatives that are currently shaping the strategic development of Snam (Acquisition of TAP, Launch of sustainable mobility, Biomethane, …). In 2016 he has been selected as the first Head of the Office of the CEO of Snam (for Marco Alverà). In 2017 he has been named Senior Vice President, in charge of international assets (managing stakes Snam has in companies in France, Austria, Greece, UK, Belgium) contributing to 15% of Snam net income. He was Chairman of Terega and Snam International. He graduated magna cum laude at Bocconi University in 2006.
