Emanuele Mario Parisi is adjoint professor at IULM University since 2016, where he teaches “Business Technologies and Entrepreneurship”. He also taught in other Institutions, holding the course of "Open Innovation and Intellectual Property” at LUISS / SAA University (2016 - 2018) and professor of “Tech-innovation in Finance “at LUMSA University (2018 - 2019). Currently he is also lecturer at Berkley Skydeck.
On the academics, having pursued his PhD in 2017 in Business and Management from IULM University with a thesis on the Evaluation Models of Innovation within Data Organizations, he has published in several scientific journals on topics ranging from Banking and Finance, Retail Banking, Alternative Finance, Computer Sciences, BlockChain Technologies, RegTech, Fintech, Robo-advisor, Data Management. He also contributes to the Business Team of MVO, Metaverse Observatory specialized in R&D for the metaverse landscape, in charge of Business Development; In the past he has been appointed Head of Business Planning @ IULM Innovation LAB, Mentor @ UK Startup Direct and Judge in several international Hackathons and Startup programs. In 2018 he has been nominated by LTP amongst the 30 fintech thought-leaders.
Emanuele is passionate about Economics, Banking and Finance, and carried out as Business Angel several investments in Startups and SMBs ranging from Fintech, Greentech and ESG; via a proprietary investment vehicle with a current portfolio of #5 Startup Holdings and 2#SMB Holdings, the current portfolio NAV stands at >2M€.
Emanuele also cooperates with public and private companies in area of Financial and Economic Communication with focus on digital transformation, financial and regulatory technologies, business development, open innovation, sustainability and governance.
Since 2023, Emanuele has been appointed General Manager of Pri.Banks, the Italian Association of Private Banks. With over 34 Members, Pri.Banks sets the standard for banking companies with a solid ownership structure, often built on family legacies but with a managerial approach and a strong control over operational management.
Prior to that, from April 2022 until January 2023, he worked as "Business Manager" within UC Wealth Management; a Direct Report position to B-1 within UC Wealth Management and Private Banking; From September 2018 until April 2022, he worked as Business Manager to Head of Retail CE&EE Division (UC Retail & Private Banking business across 11 Countries, >8Ml Clients), as a Direct Report to B-2 within UniCredit Bank; and from September 2016 until Sept 2018, he has been Member of the Investment Team Member for Anthemis EVO, a 200 €M Corporate Venture Capital Fund specialized on Fintech.
As a student, Emanuele pursued his bilingual International Baccalaureate at the Institute Le Rosey in 2003; a Bachelor Degree in Law with highest grades in 2008 and a Master in Diplomacy at ISPI in 2011, followed by a Master Program at the University of Saint Petersburg in Euro-Asian Relations.
