He graduated from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a Licentiate in Philosophy from the Pontifical Urban University.

Professional commitments:

From 1985 to 1988, he worked at the Institut International Jacques Maritain as Executive Secretary and with particular responsibility for the cultural planning and research of the Institute.

From 1988 to 1993, he worked at Fininvest Comunicazioni (external and institutional relations company of the Fininvest Group) first as coordinator of the Study Centre (Studies and Research in the field of economics and media rights), a position to which he then associated that of Assistant to the Managing Director, Dr. Fedele Confalonieri.
In 1994, he wrote the first political programme of Forza Italia. From 1994 to 1997, he was Director of the National Studies Office of the Forza Italia party.
From 1989 to 1994, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Rosselli Foundation in Turin and also the creator and founder of the Institute of Media Economics, where he always had a coordinating and reference role.
He was the creator and the extender of the Code of Self-regulation for TV and Minors, signed in 1992 by commercial television stations and associations representing tele-users for the protection of children.
From 1997 to 2001, he was President of the Programming Committee of the Lombardy Region.
He has been a member of the editorial board of the magazine Ideazione since its foundation (1994).

From 2001 to 2008, Secondo Voi, a daily strip on Italia1, Canale5 and Rete4, was broadcast.

From 2009 to 2012, he conducted the program Mattino 5, daily information program on Canale 5.

In 2013, he led Quinta Colonna - Il Quotidiano, a daily strip of political and economic information on the Web4.

From 2015 to 2016, he led On Your Side, daily strip of in-depth Tg4.

He conducts the programme Quinta Colonna, a political and economic information programme on the Rete 4 channel.

He has been a member of the Scientific Committee of Confindustria and of the Fondazione Italia in Giappone 2001.

He is a member of the IULM University Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
He is scientific director of "Ethics and Economics". Materials of the Christian tradition. Supplement to "La Società" Periodical bimonthly, "Giuseppe Toniolo" Foundation, Verona.
