He graduated in Political Science from the University "La Sapienza" in Rome with a thesis in Contemporary History on "Television and Politics in Italy 1954-1961," grade 110/110 with honors. He holds a Ph.D. in History of Contemporary Italy from "Roma Tre" University.
a professional journalist since 2000, he has collaborated with "Diario della settimana" and "Sette," magazine of "Corriere della Sera." In 2001, he became political reporter and then correspondent for "L'Espresso." Deputy editor since 2015, he was editor from 2017 to 2022.
Since September 2022, he has been writing and hosting "The Horse and the Tower," the daily evening news strip aired every night on Rai 3.
since 2017, he has been teaching a course on the History of Contemporary Italy at Iulm University in Milan. In 2017-2019 he taught Reporting at the Holden school in Turin. In 2022 he taught Science of Public Opinion at the Master's degree course in Public, Social and Political Communication at the University of Naples Federico II.
