CURRENT POSITION
Chiara Sinatra is associate professor of Spanish Language, Translation and Linguistics. She received her Ph.D. in Iberian and Ibero-American Languages and Literatures from the Faculty of Humanities, University of Palermo. He is a member of the Teachers' Board of the Doctoral Program in "Modern Foreign Literatures, Languages and Cultures" at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is a member of the international research group on translation and cultural transfer TRANSIT, the international research group "Escritoras y Escrituras" and the PRIN "Transmediality: media, science, genres, arts in Panhispanic poetry (1980-2022)."
LINES OF RESEARCH
His main research interests are in applied linguistics, particularly pragmatics, critical discourse analysis, and digital discourse analysis. She has published monographs, articles and essays in Italy and abroad. She has worked on self-translation and censorship, on the relationship between translation and identity during Francoism, and on retranslation and sociocultural change
