Contract holder for official course in Specialized Discourse and Textual Genres - German
Roberto Nicoli graduated in 2008 in Sectoral Translation for Publishing from the University of Bologna (Forlì branch) and received his PhD in Germanistics in 2015 from the University of Pavia. He has been practicing as a freelance translator and proofreader in the technical and advertising fields since 2009, with a focus on the Swiss market, using German, French and English as working languages. He has been teaching German Language, German-Italian Translation and German Linguistics at various universities in Lombardy for several years. He has been active in independent research and as a scientific collaborator within projects. He has published a monograph on stylistic and translation issues in the theater of Elfriede Jelinek, as well as numerous essays and contributions in collections on a variety of topics related to German language and linguistics, postdramatic theater, twittering, translation and post-editing, didactics of German as a foreign language, and gender-sensitive language. He has participated as a speaker at conferences and summer schools in German language, translation and literature and has been a guest professor under the Erasmus+ program.
