Neuromagy

On 21 March the conference-show was held Neuromagy. When magic reveals our relationship with money.

Massimo Bustreo - professor of Psychology of Audiovisual Communication and Laboratory of Effective Communication Techniques at our University - and Edoardo Ares, IULM student, professional magician, have staged a dialogue between a magician and a psychologist.

The theme is money in its twofold guise: on the one hand, it is an organizer of value and emotions that guides behaviour and expectations, modifying their outcomes and perception; on the other hand, it is an instrument capable of influencing, with its evocative power, the decision-making processes and the rationality that one would like to see associated with it.

Great was the involvement of the public who took an active part in the magical events in a show that was able to involve and surprise between scientific knowledge and illusionary skills, leading viewers to understand the deep dynamics that lie behind the deceptions and pitfalls in which we continually fall into our daily lives.

Further replicas will follow later this year.
