Enhancing culture

On 8 April from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a seminar was held in classroom 123 as part of the teaching of Cultural Tourism Economics. The meeting was inspired by the recent publication of Paola Dubini, professor of Business Economics and Director of the degree course in Economics for Arts, Culture and Communication at Bocconi University. False! and explored the value of the tourism-culture relationship, of the relationship (not always affinity) between tourists and residents and of the virtuous construction of imaginaries. All values at the base of the skills required today by the tourism market, for which the commercialization is the enhancement of culture for different audiences, from residents to national and international tourists. With the aim not only of maximizing profit but also of social capital, well-being and the environment, the... maybe money is no longer a reliable unit of measurement.
The seminar was attended by IULM professors Angela Besana, professor of Economics of Cultural Tourism and Paolo Giovannetti professor of Contemporary Literature.
