Post-crisis journalism in post-crisis Libya: a bottom-up approach to the development of a cross-media journalism master program

Head: Andrea Miconi

Year 2019

The aim of the project is to design a Master in Cross-Media Journalism in Crisis Areas. Libyan universities will participate in the definition of the program and will deliver the course on the basis of a shared program.

The design of the course will be based on a bottom-up procedure. It foresees a consultation of experts, involving university professors, journalists, students, market representatives, stakeholders and experts in digital media, in Libya and in the European countries involved. The aim is to work together to apply the most innovative good practices in the field and define a curriculum of Cross-Media Journalism that takes into account both the needs of the market and the interests of students and aspiring journalists.

End product: Vocational Master's Degree in Cross-Media Journalism, organized by the Universities of Tripoli, Zawia, Sirte and Misurata.
