From sestertium to Bitcoin. The size of money

The research project aimed to investigate, through a series of seminars and research, the evolution of monetary policies and the very idea of "money". In the meetings and work that have marked the path of this research project, attention was focussed on the way in which economic theory has framed the genesis of money (from scholasticism to Hume and Smith), followed by an examination of the evolution of the behaviour and practices of central banks and the emergence of so-called "crypto currencies" (in particular, Bitcoin).

The results of the research project are currently being published in a book for the publisher Rubbettino.
