Cinema - 17 June 2022

The short movie Always Now, produced by IULM Movie Lab in collaboration with Hamilton and realised by IULM students, has been presented to the public during the "Nastri D'Argento Award"

The short movie Always Now, produced by IULM Movie Lab in collaboration with the American watch brand Hamilton, and which was written, directed and shot by the class of the second year of the Master's Degree in Television, Cinema and New Media has been presented to the public for the first time within the evening of the prestigious "Nastri d'argento" awards, which took place on June 20th 2022.

The film, the brainchild of Marco Serafini and Alessandro Beretta, with the creative supervision of lecturer Giuseppe Carrieri and the photography of Paolo Foti, saw the participation of a group of more than ten students who, dividing themselves into the various departments, including filming, editing and production, made a small film on the theme of time and cinema as a poetic tool to capture forever those moments we would never want to let go.

The short film Always Now created by the second-year students enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Television, Cinema and New Media at IULM as part of the first artistic collaboration between the University and the Swiss watch brand. The focus of the film, in fact, is the theme of emotions linked to the passing moments that only the magic of cinema can capture and make last forever.

The short film, spoken in English and shot in Liguria (thus celebrating the beauty of the city of Genoa, the waterfront of Celle Ligure and the backdrop of the mountains of Sant'Olcese), exemplifies the professionalism and craftsmanship of the participants in the IULMovie Lab creative factory.
