Francesco Dell’Orco is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, university lecturer, and trainer with over fifteen years of clinical, academic, and professional experience. He is an expert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and process-based models, with a specific focus on psychological flexibility, emotion regulation, and work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. He conducts private clinical practice and supervision and is a co-founder of Centro Interazioni Umane, a center dedicated to clinical work, training, and the dissemination of behavioral sciences. He is a university lecturer at eCampus University, where he teaches techniques and models of psychotherapy, and at IULM University of Milan, where he teaches mindfulness and the psychology of communication. Over the years, he has designed and delivered training programs for public and private organizations on topics such as work-related stress, burnout, psychological flexibility, emotion regulation, and psychological emergency, collaborating with institutions including ASST Lodi, ASST Lecco, the Legislative Assembly of Emilia-Romagna, Saint-Gobain, Fondazione Opera Santa Rita, and Alcon. He holds a PhD in Human Interactions from IULM University of Milan, a specialization in Psychotherapy from the Humanitas School, a Master’s degree in Emergency Psychology from the Catholic University of Milan, and a degree in Psychology from the same university. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of ACT-Italia and actively contributes to the dissemination of ACT in Italy through training, scientific, and outreach activities. He is the editor of the Italian editions of The Thriving Adolescent and Getting Unstuck in ACT and a co-author of publications on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychological flexibility, and interventions in developmental age, as well as a contributor to national and international scientific books and journals.
