International, business oriented, multicultural, and entirely in English – IULM University’s 1st level Master in International Tourism and Hospitality (MITH) gives you the essential skills to face the radical changes in today’s tourism sector. MITH seeks out the best graduates, both Italian and foreign, with an excellent command of English, who wish to accelerate their career in tourism at an international level.

IULM Talent & Creativity Challenge - 4th Edition

At IULM, we believe that knowledge and skills must go hand in hand: this is why we train students to blend creativity with critical thinking, preparing them to face the challenges of a constantly changing world with agility. Following the success of previous editions, IULM is relaunching the Talent & Creativity Challenge, providing all IULM students with the chance to showcase their creativity and submit an original project in one of the specified categories. Projects must be submitted between 4 March and 1 April 2026: they will have to interpret and enhance the Word of the Year “Team,” expressing its meaning in an original way according to the chosen category.

Provide expert advice to government

Strategic partnerships and collaborations with public institutions demonstrate IULM’s ongoing commitment to policy dialogue and evidence-based governance. UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development: Through its adherence to the Decade of the Sea Manifesto, IULM promotes policy awareness on ocean sustainability, supporting UN initiatives with events and workshops on ocean literacy and environmental governance. IULM collaborates periodically with the Municipality of Milan to provide input on student housing and urban development policies, contributing data and strategic analysis to inform local housing solutions and sustainable campus planning.

Overtourism: the challenge of mass tourism and the words of Prof. Maggioli

What is overtourism and what is its impact on the cultural heritage of so many Italian and European cities? The phenomenon of overtourism, or the negative impact of mass tourism on popular destinations, is raising concerns in many Italian and European cities. Professor Marco Maggioli, Professor of Cultural Geography and Geography for sustainable tourism development in IULM, interviewed by Wired, delved into the issue, highlighting the damage that uncontrolled tourism can do to cultural heritage and local quality of life.

The applications for the 7th edition of the project are now online. The program offers scholarships, tuition fee waivers, support services and other benefits to selected international students, who have the opportunity to attend an advanced training course at prestigious Italian universities, accompanied by an internship at an Italian company.
