InterArtes è una rivista del Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Università IULM di Milano nata con l’intento di indagare le diverse configurazioni che assume il dialogo fra le arti. L’ambito comprende dunque non solo le riscritture letterarie, ma anche le  trasposizioni teatrali, filmiche, operistiche, coreutiche, musicali, pittoriche, scultoree, fotografiche, le realizzazioni ascrivibili sotto l’etichetta di new media, cioè tutto ciò che concerne la transfinzionalità e la transmedialità. L’obiettivo principale della rivista consiste nel mostrare le correnti più o meno sotterranee che collegano fra loro autori, forme, epoche, promuovendo l’analisi critica e la discussione teorica. Transdisciplinare per vocazione, si situa nel punto di convergenza delle scienze umane, pubblicando numeri tematici che sviluppino riflessioni di tipo analitico, storico, teorico.

Si colloca nell’area 10 (Scienze dell’antichità, filologico-letterarie e storico-artistiche) e privilegia i seguenti ambiti: Letteratura italiana, Letterature antiche, Letterature straniere moderne, Teoria letteraria, Letterature comparate, Discipline delle arti e dello spettacolo Cinema, fotografia e televisione, New media. Una sezione ad hoc accoglierà le recensioni di libri, prodotti artistici, spettacoli.

Esce una volta all’anno, accogliendo proposte scelte tramite call for paper e sottoposte in seguito a valutazione in doppio cieco. Inoltre, la rivista pubblica numeri speciali dedicati a tematiche di area 10 non necessariamente di ambito interartistico.

InterArtes is a yearly journal founded within the Department of Humanities at IULM, University of Milan, with the aim of investigating the different configurations that the dialogue between the arts may assume. The field therefore includes not only literary rewritings, but also theatre, film, opera, choreatic, musical, pictorial, sculptural, photographic transpositions, as well as new media works, in a transfictional and transmedial perspective. The main objective of the journal is to show the more or less covered undercurrents that connect authors, forms, periods, promoting critical analysis and theoretical discussion. Transdisciplinary at heart, Interartes places itself at the point of convergence of the human sciences, publishing thematic issues that develop analytical, historical, and theoretical reflections.

Interartes is in scientific Area 10 (Antiquity, Philological-Literary and Historical-Artistic Sciences), with a focus on the following subjects: Italian Literature, Ancient Literature, Modern Foreign Literatures, Literary Theory, Comparative Literature, Cinema, Photography, Television, New media. It also regularly publishes reviews of books, films, plays, and music events.

Issued on a yearly basis, it publishes contributions submitted through calls for papers, and selected through a process of double-blind peer review. Furthermore, the journal publishes special issues devoted to area 10 topics (Literature, philology, art history), not necessarily from an interdisciplinary perspective.
