What is the Retail Workforce Barometer?

Presentation at the Retail Non Food Conference - in collaboration with the Retail Institute and GS1 Italy (media partner Largo Consumo). The Retail Workforce Barometer was developed by researchers from the Retail Brand Communication Observatory - IULM UNIVERSITY - in collaboration with Retail Institute Italy, and is a specific indicator of the status of retail contact staff. The results were presented at the Retail Institute's Retail Non Food event.


The Observatory of Retail Brand Communication is the research center of IULM University dedicated to the observation of the evolution of retail, which today is inextricably linked to the communication and value creation processes related to brand development. The Observatory works closely with trade associations, research centers, universities and retail companies. One of its main objectives is to monitor the evolution of the role and contribution of human capital in the continuous transformation of the retail industry.
