About CIUTI

CIUTI — Conférence Internationale Permanente d’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes — is the world’s oldest and most prestigious international association of university institutes dedicated to translation and interpretation.

Founded in 1960 and formally established in 1964, CIUTI promotes excellence in both academic research and professional training for translators and interpreters. Built on the principle of equivalence in diversity, CIUTI brings together institutions from all continents that share high quality standards while maintaining their own national and academic identities.  Website: https://www.ciuti.org/

CIUTI is an organisation dedicated to excellence in translation and interpretation - in research as well as training. By nature, CIUTI is truly multinational and accommodates members from all continents and with different national and cultural settings. To foster dialogue between academia and the profession, CIUTI organises an annual conference, continuing the tradition of the CIUTI Forum (2003–2017), which served as a global platform for exchange on translation, interpreting, and communication.
