The achievement of the Master's degree in Strategic Communication requires the writing and discussion of an individual degree thesis that includes both theoretical and operational contents of analysis and research. The thesis must be written and discussed in English. The theme of the degree thesis, chosen in concert with one of the professors of the degree course, must be relevant to the master's degree course. The thesis should provide a theoretical framework and an exhaustive treatment of the theme with references to an updated scientific literature and with an international focus. The paper should demonstrate the student's ability to critically use the tools and knowledge acquired during the course of training through the analysis of a theme consistent with the course itself and the body of reference discipline, also developing an empirical part. For the empirical part, the candidate can carry out field research characterized by methodological rigor or focus on a project in fields relevant to the degree course. In both cases, a personal contribution is required, with evident elements of originality in the research carried out. Once approved by the supervisor, the work is evaluated by a committee in accordance with the University's Didactic Regulations. The international scope of the thesis work will be appreciated, as well as the autonomy of the research path
The Commission that judges the final dissertation and decides on the award of the degree is appointed by the Dean of the Faculty and is composed of at least seven members, of which at least four are official Professors of the Faculty or of courses taken from other Faculties. The Commission expresses a brief qualitative assessment of the final test (insufficient, sufficient, decent, good, excellent, excellent), which takes into account both the evaluation of the thesis expressed by the speaker and the co-supervisor, and the discussion of the thesis presented by the student. This valuation gives the right to the acquisition of the 12 credits envisaged. In case of negative assessment, the student is required to repeat the final dissertation. The degree grade is expressed collectively by the Commission in one hundred and tenths, taking into account not only the evaluation of the final dissertation, but also the curriculum vitae of the studies
