The Career Service and Business Relations Office is the point of reference for companies interested in hosting a student or graduate of IULM University.

The internship is a learning opportunity and it is therefore important that the company is aware of the role it plays in enriching the educational path and the professional knowledge of the students/graduates of IULM University.

The Career Service and Business Relations Office provides a platform created in collaboration with Almalaurea where companies can manage services in an integrated way: there is a notice board of internship offers, a database of curricula and the procedures for the activation of internships.
The service allows comapnies/bodies to receive directly the curricula of the candidates.

The procedures for activating the stage

Companies interested in internships must register on the online platform by clicking on the following link Registration page in the case of first access, otherwise on Access for already registered companies . The company will then be guided in the compilation of the necessary documents (agreement and training and guidance project).

To start the internship, it is essential that the host company signs an agreement with the IULM University, with the request made directly through the online procedure. The agreement regulates the basic relations between the two parties for the purposes of integration into the company structures of IULM students and graduates as interns.

Once the agreement has been stipulated, the company must upload the training project for the chosen student/graduate to the platform. For each trainee, based on the MINISTERIAL DECREE 142/1998, in the event that the Company has identified the candidate (IULM student / graduate IULM) through other channels, it is still necessary to access the platform for the compilation of the agreement and the training project.

Early termination/extension/suspension of the internship
In the event that there is a need to interrupt, extend or temporarily suspend the internship, the company/body must enter the request, accessing the detail page of the training project in the online platform ALMALAUREA. Requests for extension and suspension must be submitted at least one week before the deadline

Additional business constraints:

  • companies/bodies be in compliance with health and safety regulations;
  • companies/bodies must have fulfilled any obligations imposed by Law No 68/1999, as subsequently amended
  • companies/bodies not have been dismissed staff with similar duties to those of the intern in the previous 12 months;
  • companies/bodies not have extraordinary or exceptional staff redundancy procedures in place.
