The comparative study of imagological production aims to provide new ways for developing countries to reflect on their own identities, thereby developing processes for self-recognition and creating stability in their identity, which is essential if a country wishes to develop in a conscious and mature way.

The diffusion of cutting-edge research tools will put a new perspective on the tangible and intangible heritage of developing countries, which is often marginalised from mainstream studies because of the use of scientific and investigative methods not particularly suitable for analyzing “alternative” cultural spaces.

Great importance will be placed on the transfer of knowledge which will allow researchers in those countries to apply innovative research methods, while at the same time launching the challenge of passing on knowledge regarding their heritage to developed countries with the aim of reducing distances, destroying prejudices and creating a society based on dialogue.
