Bioclimatic architect, consultant in sustainable business management and expert in communication, she has thirty years of experience in the study of management methodologies and business technologies that respect the environment and the person.
Her university education at the University La Sapienza in Rome took place between the project, the history and the critique of architecture, the restoration and redevelopment of the existing building heritage thanks to the work of great masters, both of architecture, such as Giuseppe Perugini and Paolo Marconi, and of art critics such as Achille Bonito Oliva.
She was a voluntary university assistant to Bruno Zevi at the chair of History of Architecture II, and to Paolo Marconi at the chair of Restoration of Monuments.
Afterwards, she studied Business Communication at Harvard University in Cambridge (Mass) and obtained a Master in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan. As a manager, she was immediately involved in the world of marketing and corporate communication, in large international companies where she led projects always linked to the world of architecture. In particular, in the magazine dealership SEAT, she gained her experience in communication and advertising, dealing with publishing houses and newspapers dedicated to the inhabited environment (Abitare, Costruire, AD)
In 1995, she began to produce and conduct programs and documentaries for RAI on the great protagonists of contemporary architecture, an activity that continues today, aiming to enhance the ability of the protagonists of contemporary culture to tell and transmit their values.
At the same time, she continued her work as a critic and journalist writing for Technology Review (press organ of the MIT- Massachuset Institute of Technology) and for L'ARCA, collaborating with Bruno Munari and Ugo Sasso, founder of the National Institute of Bioarchitecture, on documents of dissemination of sustainable architecture, and still holding lectures and seminars for public and private institutions.
She is currently a lecturer in Sustainable Real Estate at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. In the past she was a lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano, Lecco district, with a course on "Art in Design", and at IULM with a course on "Documentary Technique"
In 2008, she founded Goldmann & Partners (G&P), a business consulting firm on sustainable conversion processes, and product & project management in architecture and sustainable engineering. It works alongside large clients and on important real estate development plans, coordinating important and articulated design teams for extensive energy and environmental requalification projects, for the design of new high quality buildings as well as for interior renovation: all according to the canons of bio-architecture
At the same time, she supports the corporate communication structures in the internal education process on the management of change towards sustainability, and of the relative strategic communication towards all stakeholders
The aim is to promote a new way of conceiving offices and the working environment, logistics and housing and health care, where the highest possible quality is sought at the best cost/benefit ratio. Moreover, within companies, she supports a new approach towards the maximum physical and psychological well-being of people, and a cultural evolution towards respect for others and the "common thing", with a priority focus on the environment
To this end, within its operational structure, Isabella Goldmann has set up a research centre entirely dedicated to bioclimatic architecture and sustainability communication, the IRCAS (Intl. ResearchCentre for Applied Sustainability), of which she is Scientific Director
She coordinates and produces scientific texts, always referring to the sustainable corporate culture, creates, experiments and brings to the full extent new proprietary scientific protocols for the objective tracking of all her activities
Over the years, she has also collaborated in joint research with many important institutions and research centres such as SDA Bocconi, Como Next, Nomisma, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Telecom Italia, Advertising and Progress, MISE, Fondazione Veronesi.
Member of INBAR, National Institute of Bioarchitecture and of the Board of Directors of In/Arch Lombardia (National Institute of Architecture founded by Bruno Zevi), she is often on the juries of competitions for young architects and designers
Always close to the academic and training world, she has been for the last 10 years at the head of the Sustainability Topic of the Bocconi Alumni Association, a department of continuous off-campus learning of the community of all former Bocconi alumni, which aims to spread the culture and practice of sustainability among all Bocconi people in the world.
