Anglo-American Modernism: T. S. Eliot (poetry and poetics, literary criticisms, religious and socio-political thought); Ezra Pound (poetry and poetics, literary and social criticism, economic and socio-political thought); V. Woolf (novels and critical essays); J. Joyce (novels); W. B. Yeats (poetry and essays); W. Stevens (poetry and poetics). British novelists of the early XX c. (J. Conrad, E.M. Forster, D.H. Lawrence). Imagist poetry. Victorian poetry, novel, and non-fiction writings; the Pre-Raphaelites: poetry, poetics and painting.
Comparative Literature: English and American Literature (XIX-XX c.) in relationship with Italian Literature (XX c.), with coeval European Literatures (French, German, etc.), and with classical Literatures (Greek and Latin). Dante in Anglo-American Modernist literature and criticism (poetry and essays).
American and British environmental literature and Nature writing (XIX-XX c.), in particular about New England. Ecocriticism. Henry Beston: life, works and thought. Post-colonial literature in the eco-critical and environmental perspective.
Relationship Literature – anthropology – mythology (classical Greek and Latin, Germanic, Oriental); Religious and spiritual themes in Literature. Relationship Literature-other Arts (music, opera, painting, sculpture). Literature and/as Art-therapy, in particular poetry therapy. Literary translation (poetry and prose).
All these research fields are widely represented by several publications, by the attendance (as speaker, co-organizer, chair) to international Conferences, by the Membership to international academic Associations of scholars, and by Fellowships by British Universities (Cambridge and London) and by other Institutions.
