Tiziano Bonini (1977), is a senior researcher on temporary contracts (SSD L-ART/06) of the Faculty of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, belonging to the Institute of Arts and Media of the IULM University of Milan, where he teaches courses since 2003 and currently teaches Radio Communication - The show in the multimedia society.
In January 2014 he obtained the national scientific qualification as second level professor in the competition sector 10/C1 scientific-disciplinary sector L-ART/06.
In 2013, the VQR 2004-2010 evaluated the products of individual research with a score of 1.8 out of 2.
Since 2008 he has been a PhD in Communication, Media and Public Sphere (scientific-disciplinary fields L-ART/06, SPS/07, SPS/08), University of Siena, with a thesis entitled "Tourists, migrants, vagrants. Going home with the media." He has taught at the University of Siena Digital Artistic Languages (2006-2008). He graduated with honors from the University of Siena (2002). His research topics revolve around the study of media formats and texts; the history of radio and television; radio theory; radio aesthetics; radio dramaturgy; public service media; radio studies; social media studies; new media studies; audience studies; media, public sphere and migration.
In 2005 he was invited speaker at the Radio and Television Department of the City University of New York. He is a member of the CUC, the CUT and the ECREA (European Communication Research and Education Association), and currently serves as Vice Chair of the ECREA Radio Research section. He has carried out scientific research and consultancy for Italian and international bodies and associations, including the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) in Geneva. He's been a free lance radio author and director for years. He has collaborated with university and information community broadcasters (Radio Popolare, 2005-2010); he has worked for the Italian public service (Rai Radio2, directed by fiction, 2007-2009) and Swiss public service (assistant director, 2006); for private radio (author for Radio24 IlSole24Ore, from 2010 to 2014) and is currently author for Rai Radio 2. He is the author of numerous documentaries for the radio (Radio24, 2005-2007). In 2005 he won the honourable mention of the Canevascini Prize of the Italian Swiss Radio for the Radiophonic Documentary. In 2009, 2012 and 2015 he was nominated for the Prix Italia in the radio dramaturgy section.
