She graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature at the IULM University of Milan with a thesis in glottology entitled "The "virtues" in the versions of the Gothic and Slavic ecclesiastical Gospels". In the 2000/2001 and 2001/2002 academic years, she was a research and training fellow at the Institute of General and Applied Linguistics of IULM, where she subsequently held the following positions:
- 2002/2003, Adjunct Professor of the course "Computer applications for the collection, annotation and analysis of language resources", supplementing the official course of Computer linguistics;
- 2003/2004, 2 seminars entitled "Recent developments of the C.L.: multilingualism and parallel corpora", held within the teaching principles of linguistics (computational linguistics module);
- 2004/2005, lecturer in charge of supplementary teaching activities for the official course 'Popoli e lingue del mondo antico' (CdLS in Strategie, gestione e comunicazione dei beni e degli eventi culturali);
- 2004/2005, teacher in charge of the assisted teaching activity for various modules of the Master in Literary and Technical-Scientific Translation;
- 2005/2006, contract professor of the course "Specialized translation and terminology issues", supplementing the official course of Principles of Linguistics (CdL in Interpreting and Communication);
- 2006/2007, Adjunct Professor of the official course 'Computer Aided Translation (CdLS in Literary Translation and Technical-Scientific Translation);
- 2007/2008-2008/2009, professor of the official courses "Laboratory of assisted translation" and "Laboratory of computer science applied to interpretation" (CdLS in Interpreting and communication, now CdLM in Specialist translation and conference interpreting);
- 2009/2010-2011/2012, professor of the official course "Computer tools for translation and interpreting" activated as part of the Bachelor of Science in Linguistic Mediation at the Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici Carlo Bo in Milan;
- in December 2007, she held a seminar at the State University of Genoa entitled "Assisted translation: computer tools at the service of the professional";
- in April 2009, she held a workshop at the State University of Cagliari entitled "Computer aids for translation";
- in February 2013, she held a lecture at the University of Parma entitled "Informatics and translation"
- since April 2015, she has been a professor on contract for the official courses "Assisted translation / Assisted translation and localization" and "Laboratory of computer science applied to interpretation" offered by the specialist degree course in Specialist translation and conference interpreting.
From 2009 to 2015, she was a temporary researcher at IULM University in the scientific-disciplinary field ING-INF/05 Information processing systems as well as the holder of the official courses "Assisted translation" and "Laboratory of computer science applied to interpretation" (CdLM in Specialist translation and conference interpreting).
She has organized and managed professional training initiatives for students and graduates of the CdLM in Specialist Translation and Conference Interpreting at major translation agencies.
She has written numerous theses on lexicons on various subject areas (in the language combinations EN-IT, SP-IT, FR-IT, GE-IT) as well as CAT tools and website localisation.
She participated in the PRIN 2010 project *SCRIBE*. Short writings: linguistic simplification, social inclusion: models and applications.
She specializes in the translation of scientific, technical and marcom texts in the following areas: CAD, cosmetics, electronics, business management, information technology, linguistics, mathematics, mechanics, mental health, telecommunications.
From 2003 to 2008, she was External Translator for the European Union for the English>Italian combination.
Since 2006, she has been a member of ASS.I.TERM, the Italian Association for Terminology.
Since 2009, she has been a member of Com&Tec, the Italian Association for Technical Communication.
Since 2011, she has resumed her musical studies passing with top marks the flute exams (Grade 4 and Grade 6, respectively in 2016 and 2017) of the London College of Music (University of West London).
