What are the requirements for participating in the program?
 

Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline;
  • English min. score 25/30, based on personal interview.

MSc. in Hospitality & Tourism Management Dual Degree: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (25/30 is the minimum average grade of all course unit exams);
  • TOEFL min. 220/80 or IELTS min. 6.5;
  • Graduate standing of 25-27 in Year 1 of the program in Milan

In order to be admitted, do I need a background in tourism or a job experience?

Any work experience will be considered an advantage during selection process.

Is HTM a University Master?
Yes, HTM is a University Postgraduate 1st level degree, awarding you with 60 ECTS

What kind of Master is HTM?
MSc. in Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) is a Dual Degree program developed by IULM University in Milan and University of Central Florida - Rosen College, in Orlando. 

When should I choose between Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree and MSc. in Hospitality & Tourism Management Dual Degree?
Once admitted and enrolled to Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree, if you meet the admission requirements, you can apply for MSc. in Hospitality & Tourism Management Dual Degree, maximum within Jan. 15. 

What are the advantages of a Dual degree?

How long does Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management degree last?
HTM is 12 months long (6 months of classes + 6 months internship)

How long does MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management Dual Degree last?
It is 18 months long (6 months of classes held at Iulm University in Milan, Italy and 12 months of classes held at UCF-Rosen College in Orlando, Florida, USA)

Does Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management have a limited number of participants?
Yes, 25.

Is attendance to Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management compulsory?
Yes, attendance is compulsory. Each absence must be notified to Master Coordinators.

Is financial assistance available?

How students evalueted within the Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management?
Each course final evaluation takes into account:

  • an individual written and/or a group-work
  • positive assessment of classroom conduct during the course;
  • percentage of absences during the course.

What is percentage of placement?

  • 87% of graduates work as tourism professionals within 3 months thanks to HTM placement support
  • 50% of graduates hired by their internship host company

What is the cost of living in Milan?
The cost of living in Milan for a student is about 1.000,00-1.200,00 € per month

What is the cost of living in Orlando?

The cost of living in Orlando is more or less the same than living in Milan, but it depends on the exchange rate

When does the next edition begin?
The next edition will start in January 2017 with the Introductory Module on distance learning and in February with classes here at IULM University.

What is the pre-enrolment deadline for the next edition?

Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree 
For non-Italian students from March to July 2017; for Italian Students form March to September 2017
