International student requirements

To be admitted to the Master in Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree, international  students are required to present the following documents, compulsory for enrolment.

1. Dichiarazione di valore in loco

This statement:

  • is issued by the Italian Consulate or Embassy of the country which awarded the university degree;
  • provides a short description of the student’s academic or professional qualification;
  • states that the student’s degree is valid as a first-level Italian degree;
  • states the full name of the university where the degree was completed;
  • specifies the total number of school years attended (at least 15 from primary school to university graduation).
  • must be completed with:
  1. University degree certificate: original plus the translation into Italian, authenticated by the Italian Consulate of the country in which the degree was awarded;
  2. Transcript of exams: original plus the translation into Italian, authenticated by the Italian Consulate of the country in which the degree was awarded;
  3. High school diploma: original plus the translation into Italian, authenticated by the Italian Consulate of the country in which the degree was awarded.

2. Copy of the entry Visa and of the resident permit (for NON EU student)

For non-EU citizens it is necessary to present a copy of the entry VISA duly stamped by the Italian Embassy of the country of origin and a copy of the permit of stay. Documents and receipts proving application for the permit can be accepted until the original document is made available by the issuing authorities.

To ask for VISA, it is necessary to apply to the competent Italian diplomatic authority (Consulate/Embassy ) in the country of origin.

The permit of stay is produced within 8 days from arrival. All non-EU citizens who hold a study visa for Italy must apply for a stay permit for study purposes.

All the above listed documents must be sent via email to master.turismo@iulm.itand reviewed by the University Board.

To be admitted to the MSc. in Hospitality & Tourism Management Dual Degree, international students are required to present the following documents, compulsory for enrolment.

1. Undergraduate Transcript

The undergraduate transcript showing that the student has a 3.0 GPA or better equivalent on a 4.0 scale for the particular program is required if the degree is from a non-US Institution. The evaluation must be performed by a transcript translation service recommended by UCF (World Education Services or Josef Silny and Associates) and the score must be received by UCF’s College of Graduate Studies when the application is submitted.

2.     English Language Certificate

  1. IELTS: minimum score 6.5
  2. TOEFL: minimum score 220 or 80 on the internet-based or equivalent score on the paper-based test 

Your IELTS or TOEFL must not be older than two years. The selection committee for the Hospitality and Tourism Management program at UCF may allow a student with a score below 220 on the TOEFL or below 6.5 on the IELTS to participate in the program if the student is considered a strong candidate, but the admission would be conditioned on the student’s taking an Intensive English course at UCF

3.     Goal statement
The applicant is required to submit a motivation letter stating his/her personal, career and educational goals - Max 500 words.

4.     Resume/CV

5.      Reference letters (up to three) 
Letters from your professors or employers are preferred.

If the above requirements are not met, the IULM and UCF will NOT be able to admit the student to classes. In case of any discrepancy between the self-reported information that provided though verification, both IULM and UCF reserve the right to withdraw any offer of admission previously made. ​
