History and mission
The University was founded in 1968 by the Fondazione Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori, on the impulse of Senator Carlo Bo and Professor Silvio Baridon, as a University Institute of Modern Languages (I.U.L.M.). From the beginning, the inspiring idea was to satisfy the needs of the labour market based on the analysis of current trends.
