Giuditta Bassano (Livorno 1985) has been collaborating since 2016 with Stefano Bartezzaghi for the teaching of the chair of Semiotics at IULM. In 2014, she obtained her PhD in Semiotics at the University of Bologna with the patronage of the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Since the academic year 2017/2018, she has been teaching Sociology of Design at the Institute of Applied Art and Design in Bologna. She is a member of the Bologna University Centre of Ethnosemiotics, directed by Francesco Marsciani and collaborates with TRAME: Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies on Memory and Cultural Traumas directed by Patrizia Violi. She is the author of Italian and international articles on cultural normativity, legal anthropology, sociosemiotics and general semiotic theory. In 2018, she edited an anthology of semiotics of law, coming out for Mimesis. She has written on Il lavoro culturale, Scenari e Doppiozero.
